Discovery Harbour
Discovery Harbour is one of the southern most communities in the United
States. Off highway 11, it is located 60 miles south from Kona
International Airport, 30 miles from Volcanoes National Park, and 60
miles from the town of Hilo. Because of its location and altitude
(around 950 feet above sea level), the climate is mild with
temperatures ranging between 70 degrees in the winter to 86 degrees in
the summer. The trade winds beginning early afternoon keep the
temperature at a very comfortable level.
This three bedroom 2 bath house is just right for that private retreat. The house is fully furnished and even has old fashion board games for your enjoyment.
It is far enough away from the major cities to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Big Island, yet convenient enough to be comfortable and active. The community of Discovery Harbour overlooks all of South Point known for its green sand beach. If you enjoy green mountains and ocean views surrounding you, to say nothing of the people and golf course, then this is the place for you.
