The Banyan Tree House is a luxury designer studio that features a partially transparent roof, giving an airy, open feeling as you look up into the dense canopy of the massive Banyan tree by day -- or enjoy the subtle lighting of its splendor at night. The tree house is conveniently located near Hawaii's Volcanoes National Park, the massive cliffs and Green Sand Beach of South Point, and near Punalu'u Black Sand Beach where snorkelers enjoy swimming among the giant sea turtles.
The South Point Banyan Tree House is located in the quaint and historic old Hawaiian village of Waiohinu (population approx. 300), about fifteen miles north of Ka Lae (South Point) in the Ka'u District of the Big Island. Shopping, supplies, a post office and restaurants are available, some within strolling distance. You'll be within easy driving distance of the Big Island of Hawaii's finest attractions.
South Point Banyan Tree House has a wrap-around deck on three sides, a large hot tub on the secluded deck, and a full bath. Sleeping arrangements include a queen size bed plus a queen size sleeper in the living area. Our well-equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, two burner stove, microwave, coffee maker and a full complement of kitchenware. There's a washer and dryer, plus extra linen in our walk-in closet. A cable TV/VCR, and a sound system with CD player.
